What age does my child need to be to attend ENS?

Students may attend who reach the age of 3 years by December 31st of the school year. Our children range in age from three to five years old. We also offer a Mommy and Me Yoga program for two year olds. A parent or caregiver is required to attend the program.

What are the school's policies regarding the care of children with allergies?

The school's first priority is the health and safety of all its students. All teachers are certified in CPR and Epi-pen administration. Specific allergy medication is kept at school for emergencies. Allergy action plans are determined and managed in partnership with the student's family, the school and medical professionals. Snacks are nut-free and during lunch time the classroom has a peanut/nut free table.

Do you offer a tuition discount?

Emmanuel Nursery School offers a 5% discount for tuition paid in full (cash/check only) and a 10% sibling discount. Families pay full price for the first student and get 10% off the price of tuition for subsequent children.

Do the classes take field trips?

Field trips are planned to enhance the classroom curriculum. In the fall children visit Warrups Farm. In the spring, the Four's visit New Pond Farm and Hurlbutt Elementary School. To celebrate the end of the school year the children and their families spend the morning at Compo Beach.

Is toilet training required?

Children enrolled must be toilet trained prior to the beginning of the school year.

Do you offer parent-teacher conference?

We offer a fall and spring parent-teacher conference. However, a parent may ask for an informal conference at anytime.

When will my child meet their teacher?

In August, your child's teacher will schedule a home visit with the family and child. This visit allows your child to become familiar with his/her teacher in a secure environment.

What is your sick policy?

Parents are requested to keep their child with colds at home for at least the first 48 hours. Children complaining of sore throats, vomiting, skin eruptions or fever should remain home for 24 hours, are cleared by a doctor or until the symptoms disappear.

What is your policy regarding snow days?

If there is a weather related closing or delay for the Weston Public Schools, ENS will do the same.

Who provides the daily snack?

Emmanuel Nursery School provides a daily snack. We serve wholesome and nutritious foods that are peanut/nut free.
